Our Story
We are Rob and Arron, Directors & Co-Founders of doris Talent, connected by a bond that’s been evolving since 2011.

From day one, our connection ran deeper than just shared goals, shaped by trust, understanding, and a lot of lived experience together. That foundation grew into the creative and professional partnership that drives everything we do at doris Talent. Like any meaningful collaboration, it’s taken commitment, honesty, and a healthy amount of fun (plus, let’s be real, a few growing pains) to get to where we are today.

At doris Talent, we believe that these elements, along with more than a decade of shared experiences, a few unexpected challenges, and plenty of lessons along the way, have given us the grounding to build something meaningful.

So, what does all this have to do with recruitment? For us, it’s everything. Building strong, lasting partnerships, whether personal, professional, or a combination of both, requires hard work, active listening, and a commitment to ongoing growth. That’s exactly the mindset we bring to finding and placing exceptional talent.
With over 18 years of combined experience, we’ve helped shape high-performing teams, drive cultural change and support careers across Temporary, Permanent and Executive roles.
Our heartfelt promise to you is that we'll always lend an ear and that our door is always open. We genuinely care about long-term relationships, and we show up every day with energy, curiosity and a commitment to doing things right.
In a world where technology appears to be taking over, and robots are becoming the norm, at doris Talent we want to keep things original and authentic, and let you know that you can always pick up the ol' ‘dog n bone’ to us.

Why doris?
We will be honest, we considered everything. We thought about mashing our names together, going for something slick and recruitment focused, or leaning into industry buzzwords. But none of it felt like us.
Then there was doris.

Doris is classic. Timeless. And full of meaning.

In Greek mythology, Doris was a sea goddess, nurturing, generous, and deeply connected to those around her. Her name means gift and bountiful, which reflects everything we strive to bring into our work: exceptional talent, personalised service, and an abundance of care, insight, and support.

But there’s even more behind the name.

Doris also stands for strength, independence, and solidarity. The Dorian women were Pioneers, resilient, resourceful, and well ahead of their time. Unlike other women in ancient Greece, they had greater economic freedom and social autonomy. They could own property, manage wealth, and influence their communities.

That legacy of power and possibility resonates deeply with us. Throughout our careers, women have been our biggest supporters, and we’ll always be theirs. Many of the clients and candidates we work with are remarkable women: leaders, builders, and changemakers who are shaping industries and challenging the status quo.

Women have been at the heart of our growth from day one, and we don’t take that for granted. That’s why we’re committed to paying it forward, with integrity, respect, and a genuine promise to keep showing up as better allies and advocates every step of the way.

And then there’s the actual Doris. The little black Pug. She is the office boss and our four-legged best friend who brings loyalty, warmth, and charm to everything she does. She reminds us daily that making people feel seen and valued isn’t just good business, it’s who we are.

So, when you work with doris Talent, you’re not just getting recruitment. You’re getting a thoughtful, human experience, shaped by history, heart, and a name (and faces) you won’t forget.
